I am sitting here, doing mylot discussions while on the phone, well on hold, with my satellite company.....I called them to set up an appointment to have a dish installed and I've been on hold for an hour and 19 minutes.....I think this is utterly ridiulous for a company to keep a customer who is interested in their product on hold this long.....Thank god for mylot because I would have gone crazy by now.....I don't like being on hold for 10 minutes, let alone an hour and 21 minutes....NOW!How do you all feel about this?

I myself would have hung-up and called back , When they answer I would ask for the manager of their shift . Not to be rude , but just to ask how many people were working at that particular time and then I would mention how long you were on hold for , and then give the name of who you were talking to ( if you knew it ) and ask why you were put on hold that long . Then ask for some kind of compensation on what ever package you are interested in . Just tell them that you have kids there with you , its March Break and YOU had to spend the day ( Kyle`s B-day ) on the phone on hold with them instead of with your son and his party guests . Now how are you gonna make that up to a 11 yes old ???? But , always ( I`m sure you already know ) ask the name of who you are speaking with ...... GOOD LUCK !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Her name was Linda....I should have used that in my 'conclusin' post.....I would never hang up after waiting that long,it would just have started over....thank God 'daddy' took Kyle and his guests down to the pool hall to play pool while I was on the phone and Kyle didn't mind at all.....when I apologized to him he said "I don't care mom, just get us TV".....LOL

OMG! OH I hate being on hold like that. And what makes it even worse is when you finally do get through and you voice our complaint about being on hold, they get rude!! But what makes it even worse for me is when after being on hold all that time and our get disconnected. All I can say is LOOK OUT!!! lol Don't back down.

I would have hung up and looked for another company. Can you imagine if they do that when you are giving them business what will they do if you ever need repairs!!!

I would have loved to have hung up and went elsewhere but they are the only local company in our area....I did ask around though and everyone I spoke to gave them a great report for repairs and what not but they all said they had a hard time getting through to them when looking to be connected

You are GOOD...lol a HOUR for starters would be enough...I hope you have speaker.lol lol Second of all that would bother me so bad, I'd probally want my money back and try some other company. Me personally I would think, If I'm having a problem with my satellite in the future would it be like this when I have to call again? Those sort of things I would take into consideration... I would make sure I speak to a customer service rep. manager to let them know... Are you still on hold? You def a troopa if you are :)~ **cheers u on**

when i first got satelite and had a problem i was on the phone with them for 3 hrs- getting bounced from one person to another, oh i was mad....after that i complained to as many people that would listen- now when i call things are much better..guess they either got tired of hearing me.. LOL or their customer service has improved.

If it was me I'd have hung up after the ten minute mark and found another company to call. If you were an existing customer you should never have to wait that long. That's worse than calling SSI. I sat on hold with them for over an hour once, but I had no choice. But wait before I can say I'd hang up when we had our internet installed we had problems, of course it was after the install guy left. The first time I called I waited for about 10 minutes the guy helped me fix the problem. But 10 minutes after that I had the same problem again. So I call back that time between being bounced from this person to that person and then being put on hold while they got a supervisor all in all I was on the phone for an hour and a half. Only to find out that I had to drive 30 miles away the next day to get a new router box. Because the one the installer put in was junk. Oh I was so mad. I feel your pain, call someone else who really wants your business. And that puts you the customer first. Easier said than done though. Good luck
