I have heard of using baby oil on babys hair because of craddle cap and it helps with the dry skin. i am not sure about adults though..

I don't know I used to use baby oil to take the dandruff of the scalp on my children when they were babies. I would use a little bit of oil on the dandruff spot and then would comb the dandruff off.
