Can the Holy Bible provide answers to all life issues?

I'm of the opinion that the Holy Bible contains answers to all of life's circumstances, and is fitting for any generation in any time period, regardless of the level of technology or other advancements in civilizations. Are there any issues you can think of that the Bible does NOT provide at least some valid suggestions for, if not complete solutions for? Please share them. Thanks.

I agree with you. There might be times when we cannot find the answers we want in the Bible, but that does not mean they are not there. For example, the Bible says to pray without ceasing. If we accept the Bible as God's word to us, we must follow what it says if we are to receive everything God has for us. Therefore, maybe God, through telling us that we are to pray, is actually providing us with an answer to one of life's problems, but the answer will only be revealed when we follow His instructions to pray.

Very well put! I agree that sometimes it's hard to find the answer, but prayer can help reveal it. Thanks for the post.

Yes, the Bible has the answer for anything and everything we face in life. There may not be a "thou shalt" or a "thou shalt not" but there is ALWAYS a principle to follow. The Bible is God's revelation of Himself to mankind, culminating with the complete revelation in the Lord Jesus Christ, the exact image of Himself. No other revelation is needed. In revealing Himself, God lets us see our own selves exactly as He sees us, so the Bible is a mirror in which we see our own nature. Through the Bible we come to understand God's way of salvation and as we enter into a relationship with the heavenly Father through the Lord Jesus Christ, we are given the Holy Spirit who empowers us to live to please God. As we depend on God to guide and direct us, to rebuke, challenge and correct us, to encourage and strengthen us, He reveals His will to us through His Word. 2 Timothy 3:16-17 tells us that ALL Scripture is given by inspiration of God and why it is profitable: doctrine - shows us what IS right rebuke - shows us what is NOT right correction - shows us how to GET right instruction - shows us how to STAY right. I have known, loved and served my loving heavenly Father for 48 of my 70 years and in that time I have always found the answer for my every need in His Word. I know I shouldn't be amazed, but sometimes I am, when I am directed to a verse which answers every little detail of what has been bothering me. God's Word is living and true. It has the answer for everything we need in this life - and the next. While the Bible cannot cover every subject (eg TV programs, anything regarding modern technology, driving cars etc) it certainly does cover it in principles which can be applied to all behaviour.

Amen! Well put, 'cloudwatcher'! Wholehearted agreement here! As I've noted in some of the other responses, I, too, think of the Bible more as a 'thematic' guide rather than a complete list of do's and don't's. I like what you say about letting His Spirit 'take over'; and therein lies the key to the answers for all of Life's issues. Thanks for this post!

Yes, the Bible provides 'responses', not answers to most of life's questions.

The Bible is God's breath. John 1:1 says, "In the beginning was the Word and the Word was with God and the Word is God". If you have God in your being, you have everything you needed. He is so rich and so great. His heart is full of love toward us. He is the Answer for every questions and the Solution to every problem. No one has ever proven that the Bible is a false or non-sense book.

Amen to this! Though many have tried to prove the Bible to be no more than a collection of lost stories and letters, I must say that its substance and overall impact it has had on our world is unquestionably significant! No other book ever published has come close to being as powerful and influencial as the Bible. There must be SOME good reason for that! Thanks for the post.

I believe the Holy Bible does provide all the answers to all of life's issues w1z111. There will undoubtedly be people who will disagree, saying this and that happened and the Bible does not mention it. I have to say, "Not true". I have searched for many answers to many issues of this life. While maybe not finding a specific reference to the specific issue, there are lessons, stories, parables and instructions on how to conduct one's life that we can use to validate the relevance of the issue at hand. One only have to read the Bible and study it to know this is true. So, can the Holy Bible provide answers to all life issues? Absolutely, beyond a shadow of doubt. (At least it does for me).

I believe the Bible is the inspired written word of God. Therefore I do believe that the answer to every problem we face is in the bible. We just have to do our part and study, pray and read to find it. If we ask God to show us where our situations exist and ask Him for instruction He will show us where to look in the Bible. We just have to have our spiriual ears open to hear Him. How to you do that? By praying and meditating upon God the Father and Jesus Christ.

Yep! I like what you say about the need to ASK, too! Christ promised we'd receive if we ask, find if we seek, have things opened to us if we knock..... If we don't, the answers won't be there... Thanks for the post.
