Disturbing.....

Crying - So sad

I just watched a commercial for a fundraiser for the Make A Wish Foundation. The announcer claimed that because of donations last year, 156 terminally ill children had their wishes granted. While it is possible that he was referring to donations from this area only, 156 is still a ridiculously LOW number. Especially considering how many wealthy families and celebrities there are in the world. Speaking on a larger scale, here we see celebrities paying thousands of dollars for a teeny tiny purse, or a barely there dress, or a bottle of shampoo. It is just sickening! These children know that they are dying, and want to do or recieve something special before they go with God. When my daughter had surgery on her feet when she was 2 years old, I had the privilege of meeting some terminally ill children that were at the hospital. In spite of their ailments, they were the most loving, sweet, adorable kids I have ever met. I wanted to take them all home with me. I realize that not all of us have the financial means to donate to organizations like the Make A Wish Foundation (just one out of many wonderful organizations). But for those who are so very well off....these children aren't asking for much. As far as I'm concerned, the statistics of children, as well as others who are less fortunate, that need help is just way too high compared to the amount of help/donations given. Sorry this went on so long....it just upset me a lot. Thankyou to everyone that reads this and has patience with my rants and ramblings. Hope you all have a great day.

That is horrible!!! There are sooo many RICH people our there and they could be doing something with their money, but they are tooo selfish to do so. I hate that. Then they rub it in your face that they are rich and say they earned it? How does one earn money that is in the family? Too stupid for words. They just say that to keep the poor down in the mud if you ask me. Oh well, they will die one day and see God and have to answer for all of it.
