I have owned my 2001 smart car for 6 months with out any problems. About a week ago I was unable to put the smart into Reverse, after 5 minutes of trying it eventually went into reverse, and I have had no problems since.This morning, exactly the same thing happened, although now I cannot get the car into reverse at all. Also now the display is showing A even if the car is in neutral. I have tried locking car and starting again, foot is on break when trying to change gear,any ideas? I would be really grateful
