5 months ago i got a stomach ache and my legs went numb, the feeling came back in one of them but i continued to have a problem with it. A month later pain started to attack both of my legs leaving me unable to walk without crutches. I physically cannt put weight on my legs. After extensive tests my doctors have concluded that it is down to stress and depression. Every month that i see my gp i get put on a higher dose of antidepressants and i am scared of getting addicted. My GP now cant work out whether the depression triggered the pains or the pains triggered the depression. Has anyone else suffered any physical pain or discomfort with depression?

You might want to consult with a chiropractor... when the spine is out of whack it pinches various nerves. My guess is some are affecting your stomach, some numbing your legs. When you use the crutches to walk, you're taking the pressure off the pinched nerves. And YES! pain can become very depressing.

I have been having pain problems off and on for almost ten years. Sometimes I think the depression is trigger by the pain other times I'm not sure my pain is in my back, legs, and I get this cloudy feeling in my head where it feels like I'm going to pass out. I'm under a doctor's care and he is tring to find out what is the problem but may I suggest you go to webmd.com and look up your symptoms? It might be able to help you help the doctor's get in the right direction. I hope this works out and the pain and depression stop.
