Should My Gay Cats Be Allowed To Marry?

In an earlier discussion I asked if my male cats were gay since they are always snuggling up to sleep. And I am okay with them being gay. After all, they aren't hurting anyone. But now I wonder - should my gay cats get married? Shouldn't they be allowed to marry? I asked them and the younger cat kept saying, "Wow" (his meow is a little different) and the older cat was silent on the subject (okay, he was actually asleep - but he could have said something!) So what do you think? Should my gay cats be allowed to legally marry?

Do they need governmental rights of inheritance, visitation, medical proxy or anything else like that? If not, I'm going to have to say no. ;) If they belong to a kitty religion that allows for gay kitty marriages, then I'm sure they can have a religious marriage instead. Or even just a kitty commitment ceremony. Without a need for legal marriage rights, there's no need for a legal marriage. :D

wow I'm so amazed with this discussion... are you really serious of asking and concluding this? that your cats were gays? I don't know how to believe this... but my mind doesn't get into analyzing animal's sexuality and preference... but this could be true and possible... animals do have feelings and emotions like humans do. its just too unusual, too different and unique. but now I'm certainly thinking... (?_?_?)

Of course they should be allowed, but it sounds like your bigger cat really doesn't want to. He seems to be enjoying 'living in sin' and I'd bet that's why he didn't respond :)
