I am currently thinking of having a tattoo done on my lower back though I am still confused what should I do? A flower vine? Common. The name of my loved one? And what if it doesnt work out? Do you have a tattoo? What and Where? Why have it done? Could you possibly give me an idea what you have so I could decide what I should do. Thanks. Ciao.

I have one tattoo it is a chinese symbol on my lower back. No one can tell you what to get, you have to choose what is going to decorate your body for the rest of your life. I have had my tattoo for 4 years and I don't regret it at all. I will tell you that having a tattoo done on your lower back near your spine can be incredibly painful, so keep this in mind when choosing your location.

Hi, carol! I do not have a tattoo and I do not plan on getting one yet. It's just not me, I guess. It looks good on other people though. I would suggest, since you haven't decided on what design to put, try the non-permanent "tattoos" -- I don't know if they call it body painting? Or maybe the henna tattoo. That way, you can try out different designs first before settling on the one you like. Tattoos are considered permanent (but it can be removed by expensive laser procedures) so it's best that you've already made up your mind before you go for it.

First of all i would not recommend a name, ever. I have 4 tattoos, all my own artwork too. I have a sleeping dragon, a dreamcatcher with a spider on the web, a portrait of someone very very special to me and the emblem of the Crow. My tattoos are all on my upper arms, it is less painful for you to have a tattoo on a flesh part of your arm.

I only have one tattoo as of yet! I think the best thing to do when deciding on a tattoo is to be creative. Don't go pick out a random tattoo that many others will likely have picked out of the books. Or if you like a design in a book you see at a tattoo parlor then add some flair to it to make it your own. That's what I did. My tattoo is on my left lower leg and it's a heart with an eyeball in the middle of it and it's crying with a teardrop and all. I will post the pic of it. My best friend and I got the same one when I moved away from her about 4 years ago. They are the same but her's has a blue eye and mine has a green eye. We are very symbolic so I got mine of the left and her's is on her right leg. Whatever we do with each other, drive, walk, sit, I've always been on the left and she's always been on my right...kinda silly but the tattoo represents that for us. Just don't be quick to choose anything and as far as loved one's names...unless you are married, i wouldn't do it! Location is key too! I put it on my leg because I can show it when I want and cover it up when I need to!
