what gift do you love to give and want to receive....

everytime there are occasions, like birthdays, graduation etc, we tend to receive and give gifts to our love ones, friends, families and colligues. What particular gift you usually give and what kind of gift you want to receive if you are given a chance to choose?

to be honest, i love a single rose from my husband
as far as gifts i give...my husband is a bass player, so i try to give him music, anything that he can use to rpactice or maybe a new bass guitar
my kids always want gift cards lol
i am a person with little needs, but right now, i wouldn't mind a trip back home to virginia to see my friends and go to my favorite restaurants and see all, the familiar things

Surprises,flowers,chocolates,cards etc are the things that come to the notice if we talk about Gifts on Birthdays,celebration,parties,anniversary etc... All these are obviously apart of our life and every one do expect the same.. But according to me the gift that i would give as well as expect or want or would love to receive is the gift of: trust,love,feelings,respect,faith,honesty and everlasting relationship!!!
It seems very awkward or unexpected thing but they hold a place above all the things which give a short time pleasure!

I like to give gifts people enjoy. For example I know my wife loves to get flowers. So every once in a while I get them for her becasue it pleases her.
Fo rme a great gift is something praticle that I need. Whether it be a tool or something. Early on in our marriage my wife realized that to make me happy in her gift she need to find out what I need first. For her a gift is more sentamental then pratical.
