Life is a bed of roses with the thorns thrown in. Comment.

Life is what you make of it. It could go smooth, it could go wayward. But when the hard times come it is up to you to take charge and live life as you will. So I call life a bed of roses with the thorns thrown in but the thorns have to be removed to make it a bed of roses once again. What do you feel?

My Nan used to say that life was a bed of roses, so long as you didn't mind getting pricked now and again on the thorns. I guess she was telling me that you have to accept the bad along with the good and get on with life as best you can.

for me, life is not a bed of roses. the thorns are and will always be part of life. if you take the thorns off a rose, a rose could never be called a rose, could it?
