why do we pay taxes?

is it realy necessary? there are many people including polical leaders evading the taxes, as a common man why do we pay?

Everyone shud pay there tax properly n at proper time..its govt. rule n its for dem so dat by dat money they can do something good for the ppl...N one shud enjoy the freedom...
