Can anyone explain to me what the colour-coded star with a number in it represents ? Is the number or colour permanent or do they change every week or month ?

hi, how are you? Users with a user rating of less than 100 will not yet have myLot reputation calculated, and will therefore have no star next to their name. myLot reputation updates once per day, so most users should see their reputation appear shortly after reaching a user rating of 100. Remember, myLot reputation is determined by the myLot community, and it is cumulative for all user contributions. Therefore, myLot reputation can fluctuate even without a user participating on any given day. In addition, you shouldn’t think of a particular myLot reputation level as necessarily being “good” or “bad”. It just means that a user with a reputation of 8 is generally more highly thought of by the myLot community than a user with a reputation of 5, and so on and so forth. It doesn’t mean that 8 stars means “good user” and 5 stars means “bad user”. Both are valuable members of the myLot community. As you might have guessed, the best way to increase your reputation is by contributing quality topics, responses and comments and avoid posting low-quality content or items that violate the myLot community guidelines. HOPE ITS HELP....!!! Have a nice day!

Welcome to mylot. As soon as you will complete 100 points in the braces you too would be crowned with a star, you ned 83 points more to reach this mile stone as you are at 17 at present. The number inside the star is your reputation in mylot which is a outcome of your appreciation from other mylot users, how they DRS you (+ or -) in your discussions and responses. If you maintain the discussion guideline code of ethics then I am sure you would be having a star with higher reputation percentage. Move your curser on to this number in the star it tips/shows you the percentage reputation in the mylot. Wish you a nice time in mylot.

the coloured star holds the number of positive responses you have gotten for your posts, it changes with time and has an impact of your earnings a month round
