Are 'Lefties' gifted in some way that 'Righties' aren't?

Throughout the ages, left-handed behaviour has been socially discouraged or treated as a taboo. About 80% percent of human beings are 'Righties' according to a survey. Times have changed. people are no longer considered 'odd' if they use their 'left hand' for most actions. In fact, the world is just accepting that a 'lefty' is an artistic person or better performer! What is your opinion?

I'm sure they are gifted in some ways (right brain activities), and I think they have an advantage when it comes to sports like tennis, squash, badminton etc. Since most people are right handed, people are more used to playing with right handed opponents. So when it comes to "lefties", people are less familiar with their strokes, movements, etc. This may put "lefties" at an advantage. I read somewhere that left handed people are more prone to suffer accidents though, since the environment around us, equipment, machinery etc, is geared more towards "righties".

That's right! Being lefties, and socially different, they feel they ought to outperform the righties! This attitude comes from being treated as a freak. And as you said, righties are unfamiliar when playing against lefties.

In school I read that left-handed girls may be slightly less competent in the field of mathematics, but I don't recall if there were any more conclusive studies. There's a general consensus that left-handed people are more artistic, but perhaps this is because they tend to be more visual or auditory in the way they process information. However, just as a non-artistic person can be taught how to draw or paint, practice using "the left brain" can influence/enhance a left-handed person's abilities in analytical or "logical" thinking.
