i've been using yahoo mail beta for a long time, i haven't found too many troubles on it, as one user said, it sometimes is slow but it will depend of your internet connection, the features they offer are great, i even hear somewhere that they will bring integrated chat just like gmail, but is still not working, well hope this is useful, good luck

Even if you have a fast machine and fast download speed - Yahoo Beta is annoyingly slow!! Beta was only designed to keep up with the rising trend of people using Gmail and when you compare the 2 sites, Yahoo is just not up to scratch. Don't get me wrong - I love Yahoo Mail and have been using it for nearly 10 years now but I personally find the good old way the best way - it's quick, simple and easy to use. If you are desparate to use yahoo in the beta format you are better off having your yahoo mail delivered to an email program like Outlook and sorting it out that way - will be faster for your machine.

I thinkthe beta is so much better than the previous mail and it is not that slow especialy on an 8Mbps conection, but DO NOT use the beta if you are on dial-up as it will take you a year to read 5 emails so my recomendation is use if your conection is at leased 1Mbps.
