What Should I use on birthday party?

Hi, i've been invited to a birthday party at a fancy country club, and I have no idea what i should wear. The family throwing the party is rich, but i'm far from it, so i don't know what would be approriate. Do you have some advice for me?

I would chose a simple black dress, fairly understated and classic in style, with some equally undertated jewellery and a pair of plain court shoes. Very audrey hepburn and classic dior type look

A simple black dress jazzed up with a nice pair of dangle earrings would be perfect. If you hve long hair set it with rollers, and pull the side up with a rhinestone clip. Jewlery can be found at Claire's in the mall pretty cheap.
