Is it as cold as it is here? The past 3 days it has been in the -30's... dipping down to -42 overnight. BRRR!!!!

What part of canada are you in ? Here in the eastern portion of the united states, in a state called Ohio, city close by is Cleveland and the groundhog day myth came to light as warmer temperatures are in fact melting the rivers and further out into the larger lakes. I should put some of the newest pictures taken here at myLot but I am sure I must size them down quite a bit.
Anyway, the weather is unusual for this time of year as we should still have plenty of snow, yet do not. It is not even cold enough at night to keep any precipitation frozen on branches, fenceposts, wires. We are lucky our 'ice-storms' were not as bad as some of the midwestern states hit with extreme cold and dangerous amounts of buildup.

Sorry you have had no responses so I thought I'd tell you all about the weather in the UK! It has been a really nice warm sunny day, not bad for early March! Lovely and dry and good enough to put the washing out on the line! It is now colder because it's night time now at 23.30 GMT. Spring is definitely on it's way! But certainly not as cold as where you are, that is really really cold!
