Are you generous? i know im not but i give when i can... if people come knocking at your door asking for money or donations, Do you entertain them and give? you might probably say yes- why not.. BUT! what if this happens to you everyday or at least every other day!? until when are you willing to give?

We should be generous to the people who are really poor and need money to earn their livelyhood, but we shouldn't be that generous that to give them everyday, if this routine follows then it will definately become their habit to knock our door everyday and beg for money, they should also word hard or get employed to some place where they can earn money. If we give them everyday then a day will come when we will have to knock on someone's door.

I am selective is giving donations. In my country, there are few cases of Charity organisation misused of the donated fund and we are talking in ten thousand and millions of dollars. That make me selective is giving. At time, I will prefer to give the money to the people directly, knowing that 100% of the money will be put to good use by the recipent. And if you donate it to an charity organisation, part of the money will goes into admin cost to run the organisation, in the end, proably only 70% of the money goes to the people needing it.

Yeah I need to start saying no to people. I end up with a lot of things like cookies and lots of popcorn and other things I don't want. Most of the time I buy from my co-workers kids and then my niece and nephews but all the fund raisers are at the same time So maybe this next year I will start saying no thanks

I am known for being overgenerous and this is something I have had to stop. I have no spare money to give to collectors, although i do take donations to charity shops. I wish that I could continue to give but the reality is that I simply cannot afford to hand over any cash these days
