Who (from History or the Present) Would You Most Like to Meet?

Hi everyone! Who would you most like to meet? Why? What would you say to him/her? Though I'm agnostic, I would like to meet Jesus Christ. I think no other figure in history has been the subject of so much study, so much controversy (in the sense of there being so much debate about His life and message). Probably no other historical figure has generated such a wide range of emotions, from enormous faith and devotion to attacks of the highest order. I would ask him what the essense of His message was. I would ask him whether He is pleased with how His message has been passed on these past 2000 years. I would ask him what is the Truth.

Of the present people still alive, I'd love to meet Richard Dawkins. The problem is that we wouldn't have much of a conversation, as he already expresses what I think much better than I could! Of the people of the past, I'd also be interested in meeting Jesus if he actually existed. Ask him how he managed to drive the world nuts for the past 2,000 years or so! And if he never existed, I'll go for Plato.

The only evidence so far that Jesus existed is in the Bible, and I wouldn't call this book reliable.

Yes, it would be fascinating meeting Dawkins. I would also like to meet Stephen Hawking, though given his illness it would be pretty hard to hold a conversation. Do you think Jesus existed? I read part of The Jesus Mysteries by Timothy Freke and Peter Gandy. Dan Burstein's anthology, Secrets of the Code (which explores some of the themes raised in The da Vinci Code) also threw up what to some are incendiary allegations....

For me it would be Karl Marx. I would want to ask him if he ever realised what forces he would set free on this earth when he first sat down in the British musium library to write his works blessed be

aside from Jesus Christ, i want to meet all of the famous people during the Renaissance period. I'm just curious how these such great things are invented or how these masterpieces created? how genius or talented they are.... Also want to meet the saints like Saint Claire, St. therese of child jesus and also st. francis of assissi (since st. francis and i are both pet lovers). Just want to know how devoted they are for the Lord Almighty.

Yes, it would be nice to meet some of the greats of the renaissance.... Some historians believe that the Renaissance was born of the Crusades. Europe was then in the "Dark Ages" while the Arab lands were flourishing. The returning crusaders brought with them knowledge about medicine, mathematics, navigation etc.... I'm not familiar with Saint Claire and Saint Therese, but I have read The Prayer of Saint Francis of Assisi and it is beautiful!
