No longer science fiction...Do you find this cool, or scary? Or maybe Both.....

My father just brought this new technology to my attention this morning. http://www.emotiv.com (if the link doesn't work, just google) Apparently, it's new technology that lets you control video games with your mind. Cool right? As someone who loves science fiction, The Matrix, and Ender's Game, I find this facinating. However, if you stop to think about it, there are some pretty scary alternatives this technology could be used for. So what are you thoughts?

I 100% do you believe this is possible yet. Maybe in several hundred more years, but not this century. That would be like "Humans can control video games with there mind! But we havn't found a cure for the common cold..." I feel that - that technology won't exist until waaaayy after our time.

This company is debuting their "Project Epoc" at the 2007 Game Developers confreence. It's a headset that uses sensors to tune into the electrical impluse of your mind you you can control and infulence games with your mind. Crazy!

I read what its about, but I still don't think humans are capable of creating something this advanced. I would think they would make something like a 'hover car' before something like this with neuro-science.
