Casting out Demons and Psychology

The basis for most religion is to create a mechanism for people to feel good. This is not religion but psychology. If you can make people feel guilty and then relieve that guilt you can make them feel good and they will be so appreciative they will give back to you or your organization. The myth in all religions that are false is that you can cast out demons. Casting out demons is not a mystery or act of GOD it is merely using psychology to heal a person and their thoughts. On the discovery channel Joyce Myers was broadcast in one of her moments of preaching. She talked about going into the deepwaters and really getting to the heart of religion and the teachings. Later she declared that we are all sinners and that giving a tithe is participating in the will and work of God and the Church. I know that this is not the teaching of the pure and holy GOD because the Church enmassing great wealth in the name of helping the poor is a contradiction unto itself. We can make the world a better place if we work together. Wealth should be made available to everyone that we can all do good works for each other. This is a process of working together in a society that helps the global community. The Church while doing some good for a few down trodden is really doing the most good for those that already have and are creating 'clicks' small groups who keep passing their wealth to each other, taking from the poor and giving to the rich. It is not the will of GOD to exclude 'many' and only Bless some privileged few. It has come to me that the Church has been built on lies and should be disbanned as a result of abuse to humanity. Psychology has a thing or two to learn about helping others, because if you don't help people to tell the truth you cause illness created by guilt, betrayal, isolation and causing harm to individuals and families. We need to heal our society.

Obviously, religion relies a lot on human spychology. From brainwashing children -- those poor, innocent creatures 'programmed' to trust adults, even if they lie -- to the various rituals to impose guilt, then magically forgive (the Catholic confession is a good example of that). The only demons we need to get rid of are those of misguidance, who try to stifle clear reasoning in favour of blind, unsubstanciated sets of beliefs.

I really appreciate your thoughts.I think the way you think.Religion and business are the culprit why the world is so full of beggars and poor soul, materially and mentally. If the powerful church are really meant to help the poor, why are third world countries like the Philippines,so poor materially and spiritually. The Philippines is rich in natural resources just like it's neighboring countries, but we are one of the poorest in our region. Why is that so? the answer is in the religion and business aspects. The church is the one who stand as broker for the Spanish and American government's provided they will retain the ownership of their vast tract of lands. In return the American and Spanish government both have their gain materially to the detriment of the Filipino people and it's government. And that is happenning to all poor countries in the world that is manhandled and suck by this religion and business.I hope by now the world is awaken by this truth that is being shielded for centuries.

Wow! What a great response, Thank you for the reply, I do see the Church as part of the problem because the Church is big business. I also see the Government needing to be changed to work for the people and individuals of that government. The government is also a big business. Now do we need a hierarchy that doesn't work?
