hmm ive worked at several call centers though i dont think that i talk alot.. especially when working at a call center, the last thing id want to do would be talk after work! but there are alot of very chatty ppl and they often choose to work in call centers so they can talk and talk and talk all day long lol, so your statement could easily be true for the majority!

I work in a call center, and yeah I think you may be right. I know I talk alot. Not nearly as much as some of my co-workers. Man some of them are so bubbly you'd think they drank a gallon of power drinks or coffee. YIKES!! On the other hand, when I get home the last thing I want to do is talk to anyone on the phone. And sometimes on a really busy day my voice will be sore from all the talking.

i've worked in a call centre and i do talk a lot! i think it was just coincidence with me as i was looking for a job and registered with an agency and the next week a vacancy came up and just by coincidence it was a call centre.

I don't think you have a choice, really. :P If you hate talking that much, I don't think you would get a job at the call center either. Working at the call center is no joke.. imagine having to be subservient to the caller and be a know-it-all. You will be numb from all the smiling alone! ;-)
