I use winrar personally. i was tired of winzips reminders to register so I upgraded. I also like winrar since it can handle all formats, including winrar which winzip cannot. Its free, its easy, so why not?

I use 7-zip too, mainly because it is free and open-source. I think it has some bugs (think about files selection) but it is preferable over commercial products such as winzip or winrar.

Hello, glf1980, how are you. You asked which compression software we use. I used to use Winzip and PowerArchiver..however they got too buggy for me. For example, every few weeks they were setting updates to patch holes and security warnings. Therefore I got angry and they kept on having those "trial warnings" and upgrading to premium paid version. I am a subscriber to PC World Magazine and they recommended ZipGenius. It's open source software which means free and there is no paid version. It's stable and opens all files that WinZip and PowerArchiver does...so naturally I uninstalled WinZip and installed ZipGenius. I haven't regretted it at all. You can try Zip Genius at: http://www.zipgenius.it/ It opens 7zip files, too. It was awarded 5 out of 5 stars by Snapfiles and I believe CNET's Download.com award Zip Genius either4 or 5 stars out of 5. So don't take my word, read the reviews and try it yourself. Have a wonderful day. Pablo

Hi, I use Winrar. But I've used a lot of them, like ARJ (in MS-Dos), Winzip, 7zip, Brazip...
