My youngest daughter is kinda a pickey eater, she loves fruits and veggies so I guess I cant complain. But when it comes to a meal I have a hard time figuring out what to make so that everyone will eat the same meal

My daughter will eat everything - lucky me! She especially loves little strips of steak (nice & tender), mashed potato & brocoli (she's 9 months) maybe if you made a meal for the whole family, that includes the things you know she'll eat & you never know, she might try something else on her plate & decide she likes it!

You are lucky, I hope it lasts for you. My kids ate everything when they were small also, I have tried giving her what we eat almost every meal but I think my problem is with her two older sisters who do not think before they talk in front of her, she hears them say what they like and do not like.

Our kids were never picky eaters. We had a rule in our home. Everyone had to taste all foods that were prepared for that meal. If you did not like it you did not have to eat it but you had to taste it. This applied to all meals. You could not taste the food at one meal and then say you tasted it the next time it was prepared. This seem to give them an acquired taste for nearly all foods. They are grown and married now and still not picky eaters.

Our two oldest boys, one nearly 8 and the other 5 years old are both picky eaters. Unfortuntately we don't all eat the same meals since they just won't hardly eat the same things that we do or that their baby brother does. So at meal time, one of us fixes our meal and then we fix something else for the kids. We do try to incorporate it into what we are eating but that doesnt' always work. Plus I am really tired of macaraoni and cheese and peanut butter sandwiches!

Well, the rule in my house is you eat whats on the table or you go hungry. My daughter loves her fruits and veggies too but isn't keen on lots of meat, she does like pork and chicken so I center my meals around that. That is the only consideration I make. She has to try new foods, no excuses, if she doesn't like it then fine but she has to try it. We love to make stir-fry so we include all her favorite things with the other foods she needs to eat. I don't cook separate meals, so she eats whats for dinner or she goes hungry.

I think its a universal problem...the children love toeat junk food n mothers are always bugging them to eat veggies or fruits...my daughter is also very choosy about what she wants to eat...she drinks juice n milk a lot...eats yogurt also but when it comes to proper lunch or dinner time, she doesnt eat much...I m also finding ways to cope with it.....

I have the same problem. It seems like my two have totally different taste buds. Also my daughter (she is 1 1/2) wants to eat snacks during the day but when it comes down to sitting at a meal she will hardly eat anything. Drives me nuts.
