What are your favorite things to photograph? Do you ever just get in the car with your camera and find things to "shoot"...I love to do this especially in the Spring and Fall.

My favorite subjects are guinea pigs. But I also enjoy taking photos of other pets and wildlife. I'm tempted to just go out driving with it being so pretty lately. Today I wished I had my camera with me, I saw the most beautiful flowers. Perhaps this weekend I'll go out and take some photos. I should just always carry a camera. I always regret not doing so, but then whenever I think about just bringing it along in my backpack permanently, I think I'll eventually damage the camera somehow. Perhaps I should just more daring and just bring it along. :)

Definitely. If I didn't wear office pants, my point and shoot should even fit in a regular pocket. I have the Nikon CoolPix S5, so it's a fairly small camera.

Yes, I take my camera everywhere with me. I love to take photos of the sun setting and the weird shapes of some trees. I have often taken photos of shop windows and the strange way some of them have been dressed. I even take photos of road hogs (when hubby is driving) speeding on the road and overtaking dangerously. I just shoot anything that takes my fancy.

It's great to always carry your camera with you! It's something I should do more often...maybe when the weather gets better.

My pictures tend to be mainly for Ebay. Of course last Halloween the kids dressed up and went trick or treat partying. The lcoal town hall had things to do and goodies for the kids. We have also taken some pictures of the garden. Then lastly we take pictures though usually with a one time use camera at Swapper's Day where we go every year.

My favorite things to photograph are fine gems or any type of lovely jewelry. I taught myself how to do this thru trial and error and for a time I did work for a diamond seller photographing the diamonds he bought and sold. I like macro photography, and would like to get into photos of flowers and insects. Lighting is the thing with diamonds. You need to perfect the lighting to bring out the hidden beauty of diamonds. Some diamonds, however, are not well cut to begin with, and it is impossible to get a great photo because they do not reflect the light in a beautiful way. But some diamonds flash gorgeously in the light. I used fluorescent and blue light combinations.

I love my digital camera. It's an Olympus and takes marvelous photos of the stuff that I sell on line BUT it doesn't have a zoom lens so I don't think it would be much good for shooting scenery. Also, I don't like carting it around. I'm afraid I'll leave it or something will happen to it. I use it everyday for my work and I'd really be lost without it.

A proud Canadian flag with an amazing sky... - I took this in the early hours of Sunday morning
To me that is the best way to take pictures. I have gotten in the habit lately of taking my camera with me when I go on early morning runs. It is really great and adds to the experience of being in the outdoors.

I love taking photos of sunsets over water. The reflection is so beautiful. I also love doing black and white photography and then hand painting them. You can put so much imagination into a hand-painted photograph. Taking pictures of my daughter is a given. I like taking pics of her while she's playing or just sitting on the couch watching videos. I try to take up close pictures of her face. Even little features such as her eyes. I made a photography book a long time ago with pictures of people's hands. I think that you can tell alot about someone by how they take care of their hands. It was just for my own personal use. Never published or anything. Photography is so great especially for scrapbooking!

Some of my favorite subjects are local wildlife and flowing water. You can get some really cool effects when taking shots of waterfalls and shallow streams, and I've never run out of willing subjects when taking pictures of flowers and animals. People are more fun to shoot, I think, but it takes a little work to get them to pose naturally and not tense up. Most people have a bit of anxiety about having their picture taken.
