Whats the difference between overtaking a learner driver and a horse?

how do you really treat learner drivers?we have respect for the horses and riders because the horse may spook and cause and accident, correct?any time i see them i just remember my sister....why didn't you pass this time? there was a car behind me!!!! was it?....So, why do people allow themselves to antagonise and intimidate the learners? Why drive so close? Why overtake dangerously? Why sound the horn if they stall?I am NOT having a dig at horse riders at all, just painting a picture and creating a scenario

People often overtake horse-riders badly. Remember the horse may do unpredictable things, SLOW DOWN and pass by giving the horse as much room as possible. Don't rev your engine or accelerate away after you are passed you may still 'spook' the horse, particularly if it is a young or nervous horse. Do not sound you horn. Similar rules might well be applicable to learner drivers, yes you were one once aswell all the best urban

And horse riders please show your appreciation when people do slow down and treat you with respect, failure to do so gives us all a bad name. all the best urban

Yes, we'll do that, right after motorists collect up their exhaust fumes and take them away all the best urban

There is no difference. A nervous learner could 'spook' just as easily as a horse and cause an accident. You just take it easy and watch out for them. We were all learners at some point in our lives.

People on horses should be given plenty of consideration and we should wait until there is enough space for us to pass safely so that we do not spook the horse, as you put it. The same should be given to learner drivers because we were like they were to begin with.
