switching on a light bulb with a mobile phone

how can i set up my computer to receive a signal from mobile phone and control a light switch accordingly?

cant find anything on howstuffworks.com that is any use, so if anyone else has any ideas i will be grateful

it's easy, just throw your phone to the switch, be sure you hit it. i'm sure it will turn on your light bulb. :)
