Which athelete impresses you most?

A friend had a question on here today about which athelete was the biggest disappointment. So, I thought I would ask which athelete were you or are you most impressed with? This can be for any sport, any era.
Mine would have to be Brett Favre. He is a responsible man, he has never missed a game, let alone a practice. He has confidence but is not cocky with it. You can generally, overall, tell that he actually loves the game of football and is not just in it for the big paychecks.

I wonder who that friend could be that asked the other question. LOL Brett Favre is a very good choice but feel that Reggie White was the athlete that impressed me the most while he was still alive. He did so much for the game of football as well as the community outside of football. He was a wonderful person and family man as well. Cal Ripken, Jr. would be another athlete that impressed me very much.

Hmm, I wonder. Hope you're not angry over it :).
I agree with both. My husband got to meet Cal Ripkin last year. Said that he seemed really genuine. They met at some Charity event that takes up money to build soccar fields and baseball fields in communities.
Reggie White is a good one also, I almost forgot about him :).

I love Troy Polamalu from the Pittsburgh Steelers.
He seems really down to earth and he's a great football player. I love how he just go flying through the air for a tackle, and seems to cover the whole field.
