My favorite animated film will never be a popular one. The foreign film, "Grave of the Fireflies," is a beautifully written, heartbreaking film about the effects of war on children. It, to me, is the best war film ever made and one of cinema's greatest tragedies. I'm always an emotional moviegoer, but this film truly reduced me to tears. It's challenging, but for those who enjoy intelligent cinema, "Grave of the Fireflies" is about as close as I've seen to the perfect animated film.

Yes, I believe we're thinking of the same film (Though, SHHHHH. Don't give away the ending!) :) We might actually get some folks to go out and rent it. It is typically found in the anime section of a video store! I'm glad you appreciate it! I was truly blown away by it.

I think that the one I loved and will forever leave me wanting to watch more 3d animated films was The Lion King. After I saw that movie, I started looking forward to seeing 3d animated movies. Of course the funniest ones I have seen are Finding Nemo, and Shrek. I haven't really enjoyed the ones they have been throwing out lately. I like the ones that have a lot of witty lines and a good story line.

Oh so many good animated films out there. Let alone the 3d ones like Shrek. I think it would be a toss up between Prince of Egypt and Monsters Inc. Yeah I know two very different movies but they are both so well done. I enjoy them a lot.

My favorite is Spirit- The stallion of Cimmaron. It had great story and a n incredible soundtrack. I have seen the movie a number of times. But the movie doesn't bore you no matter how many times you see it. Besides you can identify with the emotions shown in the film. Regards

My favorite animated movie till date is Monsters Inc. I just seemed to love everything about the movie from the plot, to the voices to the brilliant animation. Other animated movies that I rate very highly are Shrek, Ice Age and Finding Nemo in that pecking order. I did like Shrek2 and Ice Age2 but I felt the originals were better because of the novelty in the plot at that time... Now I am eagerly waiting for Pixar's next Rat.ta..toolia.. I think I spelled it right. Cheers! Ram
