Hello, I had an interesting experience today. I was heading to a store here in Chicago to pick up some seeds that were on sale for 10 packs for a dollar. Moments before I got there, there seems to have been an altercation between two waring gangs right outside the store I was going to. The people who were hanging outside the store were a little confused about what had just happened. Some people said it was a shoot out and others said a molotov cocktail had been thrown into a car. Fortunately I had my camera with me and I took a couple of photos of the aftermath for my blog and uploaded them. But the funny thing is that the incident didn't stop me from going inside the store and buying what I was there for. I walked in, passed all the people who had ran inside for cover and made my way to the isle where the seed display was and made my purchase in the middle of all the commotion. It made me realize that even a pretty scary situation like that where a possibility of further danger is still a reality that the most important thing on my mind is spring and getting seeds started. I realized that I was really addicted to gardening when even a gang fight couldn't stop me from thinking about gardening. Ever experienced that before? Where your mind should be on a very serious matter but all you can think about it gardening and the coming season? Maybe it wasn't as serious as my situation today but when did you realize you were addicted to gardening? (btw I recognize some people from other gardening forums or sites; Hello) If you're interested in seeing the photos you can see them on the link in my profile.
