the bible is accurate. You just need to have an expert for you to understand verses that looks contradicting to each other.

Hmmm... part of becoming a Christian is having faith in God. And the Bible is the Word of God. If you don't believe in the Bible, that means you're having doubts with your faith. If it's the accuracy of the Bible that is bothering you, you should not question it but take time to understand it. Aside from being written in somewhat old English, the Bible can mean more than what is obvious. It's not that the Bible is not accurate, it's more of how do you receive the message that you read.

what Jesus says is God's word, what God say's is God's word, but the Bible itself is just a collection so books, in it is murder, violence etc, these things are not God's word or will. Because you read something in the Bible does not make it God's Word or Will, several times Jesus criticised the Jewish leaders who were obeying what was written in the OT. In the sermon on the mount Jesus actually reverses a 'law' that is written in the OT. To know God's will one must know Jesus, to know Jesus one has to read about him, to understand what he is saying one has to think about what he is saying. Just because it's in the Bible, does not mean that it's God's Will

Yes it is accurate, but some of the wording is hard to understand. That is why so many people go to school to learn to teach the word of God. The day and time was very different when the Bible was written but all the stories carry meaning in our lives of today and for all the day sto come. Listen to the teachers and you will be able to understand it better.

I have the same problem sometimes of wondering how accurate it is. I think we should just believe what it says..and if anything is wrong or false...then God will deal with that.

The Bible is made up of several different books, poetry, historic, instructional, law, prophesy etc, so to talk about accuracy is a bit simplistic and probably not very helpful and one has to ask accurate to what? If you mean according to science, then it will always be problematic because science is changing. Science may 'prove' on thing and then later on some scientist will invent something that 'disproves' this thing and the decades later another scientest might discover somrthing the 'proves' it again, so I'm not sure science is a reliable way to determine accuracy. Is it historically acurate? Unfortunally this is also not a good way for almost the same reason as above, some one might discover a manuscript that 'disproves' something and then someone else finds another manuscript that 'proves' it etc. Untimely you have to approach The Bible with a point of view and see, while you read it if, it bears out that point of view, if not change it. Almost by definition, it is highly unlikely that you will come up with something that will be 100% satisfactory so in the end you still have to decide for you self if 60% or 50% or whatever is good enough for you. Christians of course take Jesus Christ as their point of view and filter everthing through what he says

Well, God is perfect-- that means His words are perfect and accurate (would you agree?). The problem is it was revealed to an imperfect humans which interprets it with his own knowledge. But the accuracy is not the question that we should focus on. It is actually the revelation (the very purpose) given by God to man. No matter how man interprets it but the main goal of God for His creation was understood. Additionally, the Holy Spirit guides man to understand God.
