you may find that in their first pasting experience, toddlers, are more interested in playing with the sticky stuff than in attaching one thing to another. for this reason, homemade paste is perfect for toddler projects. mix up a big batch and let your kiddos apply it by hand to sheets of paper for messy fun!
homemade paste
1/4 cup all-purpose flour
1/4 cup sugar
1 3/4 cups water
peppermint extract(optional)
combine flour, sugar, and 1/4 cup of water in a mixing bowl. mix until smooth. bring the remaining 1 1/2 cups of water to a boil in a small saucepan. stir the flour mixture into the boiling water and reduce heat to medium. cook for 15-20 mins. stir constantly. wait till the paste begins to thicken. remove paste from heat and add a few drops of peppermint extract if desired. refrigerate paste in a n airtight container when not in use. makes 2 cups.
i just post some activities so you and your child can do this activities.tell me some of your suggestions or if you have tried it out.!!
