I have heard a lot about the beneficial effects of eye exercises. Do they actually help in lowering the number of our lens?

My grandma says that it really helps. She has done these exercises, and also uses pin-hole glasses to exercise her eyes. She is 92 or so, and up till now has had great eyes. She is having clouding of lenses now, I think, due to glaucoma or cataracts. She also adopted the fresh food diet that my dad adopted, and so she is still alive and her younger sister is gone, and I think diet has a lot to do with eyesight too.

I have heard that eye excerises can help your vision and there might be no need to wear spectacles. Here is link to some eye exercises which I found on the net: http://www.trayner.co.uk/Info/EyeExercise.html

Definitly the eye exercise helps you to improve your sight in some way. Vision is our most precious sense. Our eyes are in constant use every waking minute of every day. The way we use our eyes can determine how well we work throughout our lifetime. Focusing from near to far to a distance of 20 feet and back to near again several times a day can help slow down the hardening of the lens. This focusing and refocusing should form part of a general eye care program which should also include proper intake of vitamins and exercise. The exercise would not help you to reduce but definitly help you stop from the increasing the lence number rather.

glasses - Some exercises are claimed to have effect on reducing the degree of shortsightedness.
I've tried the exercises but my eyesight doesn't improve. May be it takes time for the eyes to workout regularly. But my hunch tells me that the exercise is effective for those whose can see without glasses. They serve as ways to protect the eye from contracting shortsightedness.

I heard about this. The problem is with muscle tension distorting the shape of the eye. Exercises to relax the eye reduce the tension and help to improve focus. It takes time to do this and dedication to improving your eyesight. I think it can be done.

Hi..this is really true that eye exercise helps to reduce the number of our lens. But it works quite slowly and hard to practice. Here, i would like to introduce you with pinhole glasses which simply helps to exercise your eye's muscles and improve your eyesight.
