I need advise on losing excess weight!!!

I need to lose weight, big time! I can't do the gym. I tried that before. It doesn't work well with people with hernia. I lose a few pounds here and there, every now and then. But the challenge is, I gain it back. And it's harder to lose again what you've just gained. I'm not a food tripper either. What can you suggest or even recommend as a safe, effective and not-so-expensive alternative to lose weight?

I also do yoga for two or three times. My boyfried read the steps and I do the actions. It's funny. But I didn't keep it. It's hard.My body is not so flexible. mylesnarvaez, you can do some exercise. As long as you're healthy, it's ok!

I would suggest weight watchers. THis is the only program that I have been able to stay on. I can eat what my family eats and still loose weight. I don't got to the gym or even really exercise. Once summer hits, I will start walking in the evenings, but more for leasure. With weight watchers, if you screw up one day, oh well, start again the next. I started this again last week and lost 3 pounds the first week. I even had some Easter candy and still lost. Check out weight watcher on line for more info. good luck.

my doctor advises me to follows these things mentioned below; 1) Don't deal with emotional eating. 2) (Try to) follow a super-strict diet. 3) Cut back too many calories. 4) Go it alone. 5) Skip breakfast. 6) Don't Keep a Food Diary 7) Set unrealistic goals. 8) Weigh in every day. 9) Exercise too much, too soon. 0) Go cold turkey on your favorite foods. some of them is hard, but try to practice. results will come in one week.i used to do these things.now im fit.

when you have said that you cannot attened gym , then i make a bold assumption that you dont have time to spare , so i would not suggest you exersise or walks because they also requires time even more than the gym. One easy way is to diet--control, go to a nutrionist and ask for a diert-chart ,it helped me , hope it will help you also. Eat too much fibre and curtail on spicy and oils. One more thing drink more than 500ml of water after every sleep you take.

thanks for the advise. i don't eat a lot, but i love spicy food. my nutritionist said i don't even go beyond my daily calorie intake. so it must be my slow/weak metabolism. :)

Just take it easy!there is a tried and true method, you keep 2 or 3 hours standing up after your every lunch and dinner, never sit down, this can control weight at least:and you should walk as quickly as possible, and reduce the food and drink, but the case is keeping on.Come on,you will be successful!

Best & easiest way to lose weight is going on a walk for 30-45minutes daily. This really helps in losing weight. Or, you can join some dance, yoga or breathing exercises classes to lose weight.

Have u tried Yoga? My mom had asthama and my dad is a heart patient. But they have been doing yoga for nearly 3 years... My mom has completely recovered. Earlier she used to get the asthama attacks very often and had to take medicines regularly. Now she has stopped taking those medicines. My dad also has reduced his medication...

First of all, it is very good that you recognize your problem and want to tackle it. In your case, I fear that you suffer from extreme obesity and have to see a doctor to deal with it. Don't start any diets or take these illegal pills before consulting a doc. If you need medicine he will prescribe you something appropriate and additionally set up a personal diet for you. Then you can start exercises but slowly, not too much at once. I think martial arts is quite good too get in a good shape but first I recommend you to do some basic exercise for several months to be capable to do this demanding sport. But first of all: Do consult a doctor!

Can you go for walks? I don't know how bad your hernia is, but try starting out with walks. Perhaps around your neighborhood or a park. That way it's cheap. Or at the mall. A lot of malls open early (if your a morning person) before the shops open to allow for walking. It's safe and also cheap. The best is if you can get your heart beat up. Start off easy and work your way up. Good luck.
