As laptos are the latest version of computers so updating is required and updating requores removal of old devices .and floppy disks are the one of the oldest medium to store data.

Floppy drive is no longer common to use in the world now. Most people now uses thumb drive which is small, convenient and contain alot of space.

Because they require space that is better invested in newer technology. Its hard to find computers with floppy drives anymore. Floppies are a thing of the past now, USB drives and compact flash are the new way to store data, floppy drives aren't even worth using IMO.

The main reason for this is that floppy drives require a lot of space and laptops dnt have that much of space to fit floppy drives into them. Therfore only cdroms are provided with the laptops.

basically the capacity of a floppy drive is very small... in todays world, a laptop don't have a floppy drive. few years later it will be obsolete. another thing is it's larger size which is problematic for a laptop.
