What do you do with a boss who is extremely dependent on you?

My boss is extremely dependent on me and my colleague. She makes us do all her reports, claims our proposals as her own, and receives all the recognition due to us. Worst, her merit increase is always maximum when ours is not because she won't give us outstanding performance appraisal ratings. What do I do? I want to keep the jon because I get to practice my profession, plus it is convenient since I'm based at my hometown where there is limited working opportunities.

you are not alone in this. there are a lot of people experiencing the same thing. what you can do is try to talk to your boss in a very respectful manner and tell him/her what the people around him feels. if you think you have enough proof that he takes credit for your work then you can seek help and file an incident report of some sort. when you are on the right side of things stand up for yourself. there is no harm in trying to make things better for you and for your colleagues.
