New LUSH customore survey

On www.lush.com there is a new customer survey. Given the new price increase I was pretty anxious to voice my opinion. I said, I don't mind paying more for fresh/natural products....however there is a point that my budget can't go past (and frankly LUSH is at that point now). While I love LUSH products, and will pay more for fresh products that yeild great results, there is a market point to consider. If Martha Stewart says your prices are too high (Apparently she discussed Chelsea Garden on her show and bashed it for being $6)...then maybe you should rethink things. Did you take the survey? If you don't mind sharing, what did you tell Big and LUSH?

In the past I never minded paying a bit more for Lush... but now I think 6 bucks for a bath bomb is kind of ridiculous. After the price increase I decided to try some other e-tailers.. Fantasy Bath and Isle of Eden. To be honest, I was pretty impressed with my Fantasy Bath order. I enjoy their bombs as much as some of my Lush favorites (sorry Butterball!) and they are a lot cheaper. I will definitely be ordering from them on a regular basis. I wrote in my survey that while I still love Lush I wouldn't be able to afford ordering from them 2-3 times a month like I have in the past. Lush will become more a special treat for me.

Absolutely. I have had to limit myself to "staples". For example Fresh Farmacy, since it has helped my skin so much, Reincarnate, and Jungle. But probably won't be buying too many more Bath bombs, bubble bars, butter creams or jellies (sorry Sweetie Pie). I think even soaps are on the cut list since they don't last very long. These things are splurges for me.

I agree twilight, that the bar soaps are really not worth it to me anymore. They go so quickly and are so overpriced.

I took the survey because the price hike has really effected me more than I thought it would. Call it bad luck or whatever, but a lot of my favorite products were effected by the price increase. As it was, LUSH was a "special occasion" sort of thing and I try my hardest to make things last as long as possible. I would usually go to a party once every three months or so to stock up and get my goodie bag. Now a goodie bag costs me a $50 minimun purchase and the prices have gone up again. I know that a lot of people think we are being whiney about the price increases, but I feel like LUSH is pricing me out and it's no longer a "for everybody" kind of place. I feel even more badly for people who don't have a store near them. Shipping prices are high and then with the price increase...ouch! I did voice this when I took the survey. I realize that LUSH needs to consider ingredient costs, but perhaps they are hurting their sales rather than helping them?

Yeah...I avoid parties like the plague now....least my resolve crumble. When the Lush near me first opened it was $35 for a goodiebag at a party. I went to a lot of partys and always spen the minimum. But now at $50...it just seems excessive. Although if I have to make a order, I will wait for a party. LUSH is definately not feeling like a "for everybody" thing anymore....which is really sad. In fact, given the prices now I don't really feel comfortable introducing people to it. I know my friends are in similar finanical situations, and it seems like a tease.

What Lush do you go to? The Pasadena party i went to had a $35 dollar limit... and most of the Orlando parties are only $30 to $35 as well.

I took the survey. I don't remember my exact words but I said that I'm now only buying soap, and face products and that the other items are a luxery. I told them I'm willing to pay more for natural items, but that I'm not willing to pay much more than I already am.

There is now a part on the survey where you can enter your email address, and win a Lush at home Spa party for you and seven of your friends! I thought the survey was pretty lame, but I'm super excited about winning the spa party and getting more Lush stash! :)

to tell you the truth, I think the Lush.com survey was bullsh*t, to say the very least. I have grown tired of lush really fast actually. I do think that the survey was poorly worded and I feel that I got very cheeky when answering the survey because the questions weren't worded properly. I feel that they threw together this survey haphazardly and didn't really take any care in constructing it. I don't like how they keep asking if their customers are willing to pay more or not. Its like them asking if we are going keep coming back for more despite the price hikes. I know they want to find out if we think the products are worth it, despite the price hikes. I don't remember my exact answers, but I told them that 'fresh' to me doesn't always mean expensive bath products with little to nil packaging. I have been a fan of Lush for a while, but, truthfully, I'm getting bored, and fast. I don't think I'm the only one either.

I took the survey and told them more or less the same thing you did. That I don't mind paying more for fresh natural products but that there was a limit on what my budget can take. I'm going to my first theme day this Saturday and then I'm going to my first party next Saturday and apparently there's going to be samples being handed out, so I shall see what happens there. I love Lush products and I just paid out over $40 for toner and moisturizer for my face. Thank god a little goes a long way is all I can say!
