Significance of stars

Hi,
What is the significance of stars at mylot.com. For some users I see a red star, for some a green one and for some a blue one. Also there is usually a number in that. What is the significance of the same?

Well the higher the number the more respected you are here on myLot. The number dosen't mean anything for the money you make though. The star system really dosen't make any sense IMO.
