Swami vivekananda was a great sanyasin from india. He was born in the year 1863. He lived only for 39 years. He was a direct disciple of Sri Ramakrishna of Dakshineshwar, near Calcutta. He met his guru for the first time in 1881. Swami Vivekananda represented india in the Parliament of religions in Chicago in 1893 and became world famous thereafter.

What should be the characteristics of a grat sanyasin? When a cult is formed, it spend all its time in deifying him. The works of the person are edited removing unpleasant material, blurring the real picture about the great personality. You may like to see a painstaking study made by me on Vivekananda's life at my blog: www. vivekanandayb.blogspot.com. Your angry comments are also welcome.
I have great respect towards Vivekananda. Criticising him is not to be misunderstood.
