Have you ever played this game in the car???

my friend is taking a trip with her kids in the car and she asked what she can do to keep the occupied...so I said my mom used to play this game with me....you look at a license plate and make up a sentence for the letters on the plate...like MMZ- was My Mom's Zany...lol
This was much better then playing punch car..for those of you who remember- whenever you saw a vw beetle you punched the person next to you and said punch car..lol and whoever had the most at the end of the trip won and the other gt a bruised arm....lol. Being 9 years youngerthen my brother I wasn't very good at this game and always got the bruised arm...
how do you make family car rides pass quickly???

When I was a kid we traveled a lot, moved a lot. My parents didn't play games with us. We'd just sit and listen to them talking or poke or pinch one another. The punch buggy game was painful with my friends. When I had children of my own, they occupied themselves, they didn't fight, but the usual he/she's touching me went on. Usually we had whatever music they wanted playing on the radio or we talked. It's helpful to let them bring a friend along.

I have never even heard of this game with the license plate letters but I do remember the punch bug game you were talking about. I remember it well. That was the only game I remember playing in the car.

I`ve never heard of that one but it sounds fun. we always had car bingo to play. if you see different things on the road you mark it off on your bingo card. like if you see a horse, a truck, a gas station, etc. and it`s on your card.

You mean everybody does not do this?? LOL We used to travel alot when our kids were at home and we were always inventing games to keep from getting bored and this was one of them.
