I Heard a Funny Story the Other Day...

A lady was calling home and leaving messages on her phone for her dog! Wow, does she have that smart of dog that can get messages off an answering machine??
I realize that some people think of their pets as their children, but isnt this just a little ridiculous?

I know people we do this. It's not that they expect the dog to retrieve the message, but allows the pet to hear it's voice. I have two cats and believe me when I tell you, they wouldn't care if i called or not. As long as I am there to feed them when they are hungry, pet them when they want attention and clean the litter box. Oh, and pay the rent. That's what I'm good for.

Dogs can be quite intelligent, and it could be one of those answering machines that lets her speak out into the house and the dog hears it instantly.
I have a dog, now I don't consider him like one of my children but if anything ever happened to him it would crush me, more the kids than me. He is apart of our family. But he certainly isn't smart enough to answer the phone or check messages...lol
