Making money through religion?

Earlier today, while I took a jeepney ride on my way to the mall, a woman sitting beside me opened up her bible and talked about some passages and scriptures. After that, she asked for our donations for their church. And then, she goes out directly from the jeepney after taking our donations. Oh men! SOmetimes I could always think of these people who are just making money out of what they believe in. Forgive me if that's my opinion. But why do they have to do that? If they really are sincere in serving the Lord, then why do they have to ask like beggars on the road and tell us that's it's a form of a donation? It also happens a lot in the malls. I've experienced this several times already wherein they will go near you even if you are eating or doing other stuff. They will offer you a letter stating the name of their church and the reason why they will be asking for donations. They will hand to you an envelope also but take the letter and the envelope back once you have given the donation. See? Do you think they are really sincere and true about their faith? And the sad thing is, these are Christians. I haven't experienced this from other religions. Only from the Christians.......... :(

This things have been prevalent even before. And I have had close encounters with these kinds of people, and though I don't condemn them or their religion, it's just sad that they tend to use the name of their religion and bring the name of their God to ask for money from people anywhere in the form of "donations". well, I know our few pesos would surely go a long way if we give them to our churches and other religious sectors, but I and even my family have discouraged those people we know from giving money to these kinds of people who just easily approach you in some inappropriate places soliciting donations and all those stuffs. the thing is, if we really wanted to share our blessings to our churches, then we can just go straight to the church or seminaries and hand our donations there. that way, we are helping the most rightful way and discouraging those people taking advantage of their religions. Godbless!
