Best Home Theatre Brand???

I am looking to purchase a home theatre system in the next month or two and would like the opinion of the consumer on brand. Each salesperson will try to sell you the most expensive instead of what you would find most suitable to your needs.
My "requirements" are as follows:
1. Price should not be through the roof.
2. Should have ample output and bass options.
3. Should be long lasting..not cheap pieces that will fail within a couple months etc.

I would suggest keeping an eye out for brands which are known for quality and comes with a few years warranty.
Sorry I can't be more help here, I don't own one and I normally save up and buy electrical products I seen from friends houses and reviews around the net. There's some good deals online especially in retail stores which flog things cheaper on the internet to tempt them to go into the store.
