I remember his immortal, campy "I'm Free". Was anyone else a fan of this show?

I used to watch every episode of Are You Being Served as a child and again when it was continually repeated on Sky UK Gold. I loved the wit, the double entendres! Mr Humphries was sooo camp. I also loved Mrs Slocombe and her pu55y, the things she came out with had me hysterics. The acting was brilliant too, because most of the actors went on to do bigger things like Miss Brahms who became Pauline Fowler on Eastenders. He will be well missed and he was a very funny man indeed. RIP

I loved "Are you Being Served", and I was only readng about John Imnan in the newspaper this morning, and thinking how sad it was. He was only 71, which is no great age these days is it? I thought he had a sad life to:-(( He was of the generation where being gay was not openly acceptable, and even as late as 1999, he was refusing to "come out", and kept his relationship with his long-term partner secret. They finally got married in a civil ceremony last year, when gay marriage became possible in the UK, and I am glad he was able to do that before he passed away. Thanks for starting this thread.
