How many of you work out and if so how often and what type? I have been trying to work out, but it hurts my joint too much if I do anything too aggresive. What do you suggest besided water? I walk a lot, but I need to add something else.

I can't do the more aggressive workouts either, since I have arthritis in my hip joints. I have found that doing pilates using resistance bands is really effective. I really works on your muscles, and it is easier on the joints.

You must always stretch before and after you work out. And, not to pain level either. Exercise should be gentle, without pain too. If your joints hurt, perhaps your shoes are not fitting correctly. If it is other joints, you make have athritus. Water exercise is the easiest, or isometrics. No pain there. I hope you feel better sweetie. Don't push yourself.

My Mother is almost 80 and she rides a stationary bike every day or so. That would seem to be something that could help you charge up your metabolism and add in weight loss and keeping self firmer for looking better. Good luck with this since water is the greatest with lease effort for improving yourself.

Unfortunatly I still have a broken foot so Im not doing much of any exercise lol. But usually I would do yoga (easy steps lol) and we take the dogs for walks of the evening, which im also not doing at the moment lol. Actually I miss it and cant wait to be able to get back to it all.

Have you tried the recumbent bike? They use that at my mom's therapy because its less hard on the joints than a regular bike.
