what if for instance you've found money in the street where no one else noticed. will you get it and put it on your pocket? what if you've found a wallet, will you find the owner and return it to her/him?

I will check for forms of identification. If it can be identified, then I will try return it to the owner. If not, it's finders, keepers.

hello friend, it happened to me already. i found money but no identification and i can't identify someone who just came from that place so i keep it. i knew if i gave it to the security guard, they won't find the owner either so i decided to keep it. i consider it my luck that day :) But of course ifmney is inside the wallet then i will return it back .

If I found any money, I would see if there was an identification of some with it. If yes, I would return it. If there was none, then I would keep it. If it were a large amount, then I would turn it into the police department to the lost and found.

If I found a wallet, I would turn it in to the police, or at lost and found of where I found it. I probably wouldn't even open it because its none of my business. As for money on the street -thats different. Small change I pick up and keep. It it were a few dollars, I might keep that too, because its hard to find the owner of random money. If it was a lot of money,I might give it to the police.

There is this moral law, "the finder is the owner or the keeper", this means that if you find something and have no way to trace it's owner, then it's your morally and you could use it and spend it anyway you like without any guilt. But if there is any way for you to return it to it's owner, then you must return it because not returning it is tantamount to stealing. So if I happen to find a wallet and even cellphone for that matter, I will certainly return it to it's rightful owner. Once I really told one office mate of mine that what she is doing is very bad when she found a cellphone and didn't return it to it's owner.

I have found money in a parking lot of a huge store. I kept the money since it was impossible to know the owner. I also have found a wallet outside of a store and I gave it to customer service at the store. If I would find a wallet on the sidewalk, I would take it to the police station in case it was stolen.

if i found a purse/wallet with the persons identification and address i would return it to them. if i found money in the street and there was nobody around to claim it then yes i would put it in my pocket. if there was somebody who was there that dropped the money then i would hand it to them

If I find some money and it has no identification with it I wll keep it but if it has any sort of identification with it then I will try my best to give it back to the person in question. Cause if there is no ID with the money anyone can claim it but if there is ID with it then you know exactly who the money belongs to!

if i saw the money fall out of someones pocket i would get there attention and give it back, if it was just laying on the ground and i didnt see it drop from anyone, i would keep it. if i found a wallet i would find the person and give it back.

I was at the bank a couple of days ago and someone left a wallet on the counter. I could have easily taken it with me and said nothing- no one would have noticed. Instead, I turned it over to the teller. Hopefully, it found its way home.
