Mine likes it so much I have taken the back off of the toliet so that she is sure to have fresh water all the time.

My cats haven't realised there water in the toilet yet, thank god, but they will climb in the shower after I've got out to catch the drips from the tap. But soon run away when a drip from the shower head lands on them!! :)

My cats do that too. I have sliding glass door, and I close them after each shower. But my cats know how to push them open, so they get in there and drink. My shower drips, so they go in there a lot, which I don't like. I try to keep my shower clean, but I still have a lot of residue from my hard water and soap scum.

I'd like to get one of those kitty fountains that circulates the water constantly so they get their running water in their bowl. Some may even filter the water so it stays clean and fresh.

Actually, its my dogs that like to drink out of the toliet. I make sure they have fresh water to drink but they still prefer the toliet. My cats like to drink at the kitchen sink when I turn the water on. I leave it running a little bit so they can drink.

Yeah, I leave a bowl in the sink to give them fresh water each morning when I'm brushing my teeth. I have two sinks in my bathroom, so one is mine and the other is for their water. Sometimes they will drink out of the kitchen sink it it drips, but I try to keep it from dripping too much. If I have dirty dishes collecting drips, I don't want them drinking that. Anything that has been sitting in the sink with food and water in it overnight isn't drinkable, so I try to turn everything over and keep the sink from dripping, otherwise they will drink it.

My cats are huge on the running water thing too! i had never seen it before i got my siamese cat, but her and all her younger generations love to drink out of the tap. I have had all my cats since birth. Its neat to know that cats just like to have fresh water to drink, and thats not just something wierd my cats like to do lol

I keep the lids down all the time so my cats never learn that there's water in there. Unless you scrub your toilet constantly, it's not fresh. I know that most people let their dogs drink out of the toilet, but I just think it's gross. You poop in that water!! Even if it's flushed away, residue remains. Everyone has left track marks on the bottom, and splatters on the rim! I don't let my kitties drink out of it because I don't drink out of it. I know they lick their own booties, but I feel that stagnant water sitting in bacteria infested bowls is worse. I'm not trying to bash on anyone who does it, but I kiss my kitties faces, and I'd rather not feel like I'm licking my toilet bowl. Just my opinion. Sorry if it sounded harsh.
