How many of you listen to Focus on the Family and have visited their website? I paticular like their site, it gives so much information on lifes up and downs and is a wonderful help if you are dealing with a broken heart. They are people that care so much about others and have wonderful advice. Not only on religion but parenting, and every day life as well. I have found that focus on the family has helped me with a lot of things just by listening to others that have struggled with the same issues or just to give me daily strength when I needed it most. How do you feel about Focus on the family and is is helpful to you?

I am sorry but I don't hate people. I was just wondering how many people did use their material. I know that in most or all religions there are points that others don't like about another which is a normal and natural way of life. We don't have to like everything, after all we are all normal.

Oh, I don't think you hate anyone, but I know they do.

Focus on the Family is, for the most part, a anti-gay, sad, pathetic, lying group. Yes, I said lying and I don't take that term lightly. Many, many scientists and scholars have come forward to say that dobson misrepresented their research to demonize gay people and dobson brushes it off as researchers being in the back pockets of gay activists. Check out, www.truthwinsout.com and www.exgaywatch.com if you want to know how James DObson and his ilk really work.

It's totally cool. I didn't want to hurt your feelings. I am a Pflag mom. My son is gay. My brother is gay. I have 2 gay uncles and a gay ex husband. My family homosexual tendencies lead me to believe that homosexuality is inborn. People like James Dobson seek to deny the people I love equal lives. I must admit, I cannot get beyond his hatred and lies. If he has helped you, great. I would suggest that you seek an outlet that is less full of hate and lies. I love Billy Graham. I think he's a decent man. I think he sees our lord for what he truly is. You seem to be a good person. I would just want you to seek inspiration elsewhere. In a group that doesn't condone hate. Feel free to email me. God loves you and so do I. Take care.

I didn't mean to offend you by posting this, I was just wondering how many people do use some of their material. I have listened to some of thier teachings but, I guess I never realized how they were when it came to gays. I mainly focused on other situations. For the most part to me it just came down to plan help with what I was dealing with at the time.

My sister in law gets newsletters from them. Some of the parenting advice is OK, some isn't. None of the religious stuff applies to me so I just ignore it.

I guess we all find comfort where we need it most. I guess at my point in time I thought they helped me out and they did but, it is everybodies preference where to go for comfort!
