I need traffic to my website - can anyone help me?

I am trying to earn a little something on the side with my blog. But I am seeing very little traffic. Can anyone help me please - point me to resources on bringing traffic to your blog/website or offer me tips?

The best way of promoting your blog and increasing your traffic is to participate in link exchanges with other blogs that have like interests.
