It depends where the wart is. Warts on hands and feet can be removed using medications from pharmacies. This involeves some chemical compound. Doctors use liquid nitrogen, which is used to freeze the wart and it kills the virus. The wart falls off after several days. The liquid nitrogen is extremely cold (-196 degrees Celsius) but the treatment doesn't hurt. You should now try to remove facial warts yourself.

That should read: You should NOT try to remove facial warts yourself.

I once had a wart removed from my knee by a doctor, Although I can not give you a cost on this kind of thing because I live in Canada and our health services are paid for.

Warts are small, usually painless growths on the skin caused by a virus. They are generally harmless. However, warts can be disfiguring and embarrassing, and occasionally they itch or hurt (particularly on the feet). Over-the-counter medications are often effective in removing warts. Recent studies have also shown that keeping a wart loosely covered with duct tape for many weeks may help it to disappear. Hope that I have helped you.
