Should animals be used for medical research?

Whats your opinion about scientist and researcher using animals for medical or scientific research...how far does this practice can go and how can we fix the limits as people misuse these things for other illegal work

If it's for MEDICAL research, meaning we're trying to find a cure for certain diseases or to improve on present cures, I think it's okay to use animals, but the tests should be done as humanely as possible. If however, the research is for something as frivolous as cosmetics, I think animal tests are not warranted.

I'm with you here. I'm totally against it if it isn't absolutely necessary, which I think medical research is.
